INSIDE fortsætter sejrsstimen på hjemmebane til Spilprisen 2017

Vinderne af årets ni priser ved Spilprisen 2017 er netop blevet afsløret på Nørrebro Teater i København. “Inside” løb med hele fire priser - og en af dem for “Årets Spil”.

Spændingen var til at skære igennem her til aften på Nørrebro Teater i København. Spilprisen 2017 kårede her årets bedste danske spil med prisoverrækkelser inden for ni kategorier. Den store favorit i år var Playdeads “INSIDE” som allerede er blevet rost til skyerne både i Danmark og i det store udland, og det endte da også med at spillet hev i alt fire priser hjem - inklusiv den store hovedpris for “Årets Spil”. Det blev begrundet således:
“Det at få valgt det bedste danske spil er altid en udfordring. De nominerede er tre exceptionelle - men meget forskellige - spil. Dette års vinder kommer fra et fantastiske hold, der på en eller anden måde overgik dem selv endnu engang. De leverer hele pakken med fantastisk grafik, flydende design og en intens oplevelse. Dette spil lever ikke bare op til hypen, men overgår den med kilometer,” lød begrundelsen fra juryen.
Der var da også stor jubel, da holdet fra Playdead for fjerde gang den aften måtte finde vej op på scenen, for at blive hyldet.

“Det er fuldstændigt overvældende. Vi har arbejdet på det her spil i seks år, og vi bliver lige overvældet hver gang, vi får en pris for det. Man er jo så fantastisk nervøs når det udkommer og det er faktisk utroligt svært at lave computerspil. Især fordi vi har den holdning, at vi tager den tid, der skal til, så man kan godt være i tvivl undervejs, også fordi vi sigter efter et usædvanligt højt niveau,” sagde Mikkel Gjøl, som er en af de 25 mand fra Playdead, der har arbejdet på spillet.

Udover prisen for Årets Spil modtog Playdead priserne for det Bedste Visuelle Design, Bedste Lyddesign samt Årets Kunstneriske bedrift. “INSIDE” var dog også på forhånd spået gode chancer - ikke mindst efter at det vandt fire BAFTA-priser fra London tidligere på måneden.

“Stikbold” og “Hitman” også blandt vinderne
Et andet højdepunkt fra aftenens prisfest var “Stikbold! A dodgeball adventure” fra Game Swing. Den første udgave af spillet blev skabt på under 48 timer ved Nordic Game Jam 2013, blev videreudviklet frem til 2016, hvor det udkom - og bliver altså nu præmieret med en pris, som det bedste spil, man kan spille på dansk. Prisen for Årets Tekniske Bedrift gik til den seneste udgave af Hitman-spillet - et af de bedst kendte danske spil ude i det store udland, og er en franchise der siden år 2000 har rumsteret som en af sværvægterne, når det kommer til strategiske actionspil. Juryen lagde især vægt på hvordan “lyd, brugerflade, spilfysikken og den kunstige intelligens - hver lille detalje i hvert undersystem er perfektioneret” i spillet, hvilket sikrede studiet bag

Spilprisen er stiftet, og drives af Producentforeningen, som er brancheforening for film-, tv-, og spilproducenter i Danmark. Den blev uddelt første gang i 2013 med blot fire kategorier. 2017 er første gang at Spilprisen bliver afholdt på Nørrebro Teater, og der uddeles priser i ni kategorier.

Priserne afgøres af to fagjuryer - en almen og en teknisk. Sammensætningen af juryen skiftes hvert år. Alle digitale danskudviklede spil udgivet i det foregående år kan komme i betragtning til prisen.

Bedste Showcase / Best Showcase
Winner: Lost Tracks, The Animation Workshop
This years the best showcase goes to a team who created a game with a deep empathetic story and stunning visuals. Starting as a student project this game shows great potential
from a new, but talented team. They show strength in taking the design decisions with respect for both gameplay, art, and story. The jury emphasizes how sound, visuals, and story goes hand in hand, unfolding the game
and indulging the player on a poetic journey. With just 30 minutes of gameplay, this games lets the player feel, think and explore a unique story that lingers even after the game is completed.
This years best showcase goes to: LOST TRACKS

Bedste Visuelle Design / Best Visual design
Winner: Inside, Playdead
Games have the ability to transport us to other places and experience things otherwise impossible. The winner of the award for “Best Visual Design” does just that. Every single frame is carefully crafted and composed to build a fantastic world filled with atmosphere, wonder and adventure. A quantum leap in design and execution over the previous game from the studio, the winning game takes a measured approach to visuals, and uses it's limited palette of elements, colors and effects in a conscious and elegant way. Everything is meticulously planned and produced with a craftsmanship second to none. It is very simply the definition of style and attention to detail

Bedste Undervisningsspil: Educational award
Winner: Fuzzy House
Learning and education comes in all shapes and sizes; as well as all ages. For smaller children, the goal of education is not always about knowledge, but about the ability to explore and discover.
Fuzzy House succeeds tremendously well in delivering exactly this purpose wrapped in a warm, curios and Fuzzy experience. Congratulations to the Fuzzy House team for making such an entertaining and wonderful
product.

Bedste lyddesign / Best sound design
Winner: Inside, Playdead
The award for best audio design goes to a game that not only comprises a technically impressively high standard, where every minute detail is carefully crafted, and nothing left to chance, but also to a game where the audio design is solidly integrated into the overall game design. At no point throughout the game does the soundtrack let go of its firm grip of the player, and the gaming experience feels like one long continuous, non-repeating, well orchestrated and highly dynamic composition. It’s a game that sets new standards for game audio.

Årets Tekniske Bedrift / Technical achievement
Winner: Hitman , IO Interactive
The award for best technical achievement goes to a game that unquestionably positions itself alongside the greatest in the industry. The team behind demonstrates what can be achieved when you - without compromises - invest in and refine in-house tech. From audio, to UI, to physics, to AI – every minute detail in every small sub-system is perfected, so the pistons in this finely tuned engine can help pave the way for international success. Furthermore, the team leads the way and dares to bank on new long-term publishing methods in an elusive market and manages to captivate an enthralled audience with episodic content and live events.
The feat of making these intricate mechanisms play together in a well-orchestrated symphony removes any doubt who should be the winner of this years best technical achievement award.

Årets Kunstneriske Bedrift / Artistic Achievement
Winner: Inside, Playdead
The award for Artistic Achievement goes to a team that insists on creating art. With elegant controls, the player is driven into a breathtaking world with ever-changing gameplay. The color palette, animations and always perfectly framed character, catches the player from the first minute and keeps the player breathless throughout the whole experience. Especially the visuals and sounds lets the player feel the terrifying and wonderful world.
The award for Artistic Achievement goes to Playdead’s INSIDE

Bedste Dansksprogede Spil / Danish Language Game
Winner: Stikbold! A Dodgeball Adventure, Game Swing
Årets bedste Dansksprogede spil, er prisen til det bedste spil som kan spilles på Dansk, og ikke nødvendigvis det spil hvori det Danske sprog er bedst. I år går prisen til et spil som selv i de internationale spil går under et udpræget Danskklingende navn! Spillet er det absolut sjoveste spil man kan spille sammen foran skærmen. Spillet er “A Dodgeball Adventure” også kaldet Stikbold fra “Game swing”

Bedste Spildesign / Game Design:
Winner: Hitman, IO Interactive
The award for Best Game Design goes to a Danish developer, who's proven they can master the difficult task of designing a whole and very detailed game experience.
At a glance, their latest creation may not seem that different from their previous one... however once you dive into it, it becomes clear how much has actually changed. Not just in
terms of the game design itself, but also the way they chose to deliver the experience.

Årets Spil / Game of the year
Winner: Inside, Playdead
Choosing the Danish Game of the Year is always a challenge - it is a privilege to be a part of the games industry in a country where this challenge holds true year after year.
The nominees are three excellent - albeit very different - games.
This year’s winner comes from a stellar team that somehow managed to outdo themselves
yet again. Delivering a game that is the whole package - stunning visuals, fluid design, and an intense experience, the likes of which are few and far between. This game not only
manages to live up to its hype - but to surpass it by miles. And the winner is…INSIDE
