Spilprisen is the Danish Producers' Association's annual award that honors the best Danish video games in a selected series of categories. Here you can read the category descriptions incl. the specific criteria for each category to be certain you submit the right material - there are different criteria for each category. Remember, for actual submission go to Spilprisen's submission platform:

The award for Best Debut aims to celebrate the new, ambitious talents - a new Danish team or individual - releasing a game for the first time and hereby making a debut into the Danish Games Industry. It must be the first released game project for the development studio under that specific development studio CVR/VAT no. and/or team name.
The award for Best Visuals goes to the most coherent, expressive and all-out best visual design in a Danish game. Any type of visuals can submit in this category, regardless of the platform your game is released on.
The award for Best Audio goes to the most coherent, expressive and all-out best audio experience in a Danish game. Any type of audio can submit in this category, regardless of the platform your game is released on.
The award for Best Game Design goes to the most coherent, expressive and all-out best game design in a Danish game. Any type of game design can submit in this category, regardless of the platform your game is released on.
For excellence in the creation of a story or narrative that captivates and engages the player. Games that go beyond telling a story with words or voice acting are also qualified. Any type of story or narrative can submit in this category, regardless of the platform your game is released on.
For an already live game that had the best new content updates of the year. A game that managed to evolve, engage, connect, retain, and excite new and existing players. New content updates can be new levels, missions, community events, DLC’s, but not new platforms, special editions, or patches.

The games industry moves fast and evolves. If you're at the forefront of that then your game might not fit the traditional boxes. Something that’s trying out new waters, platforms, and formats.

For the game that really captures the magic of children's imagination and wonders primarily targeting kids 12 and under. We encourage games in this category to also submit in other categories too.
Simply the best Danish-produced game of the year. It is not possible to submit in this category. The Game of the year is chosen by the jury.
This is not an award but a recognition and celebration of talents within the game industry. All of the industry's CEOs can submit talents. Read more about Talents Of the Year, HERE.
